Violence Shakes Brookline

Two men were shot and a third stabbed Wednesday, and police are searching for two suspects who fled multiple crime scenes in the usually docile neighborhood.

“It is very rare that this happens, but by the same token we’re ready for things like this,” Brookline police chief Daniel O’Leary said in an afternoon press conference in front of a St. Paul Street residence where the bloody chain of events were believed to have been ignited.

Ex-Senator Marzilli Pleads Guilty

Former State Senator James Marzilli plead guilty to a violation of his probation on Wednesday in Middlesex Superior Court Wednesday.

Marzilli admitted to a violation of his probation and was ordered to make a $1,000 donation to the Center for Hope and Healing in Lowell, according to the Middlesex Superior Court. Marzilli’s probation stemmed from a 2008 sexual harrassment case in Lowell.
