5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: September 17
Framingham public school events, Marian High sports updates, free ballet class and Framingham Selectmen all featured in today's column.

1. Framingham Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.
2. The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest unveiled a new classical ballet program. There is a free adult class today at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Click here to read more about the program for children, teens and adults and to register for the free class.
3. Marian High Sport Update: The Mustangs cross-country season kicked off its season Tuesday at Callahan State Park. Both the boys and girls teams hosted Archbishop Williams and Bishop Fenwick.

4. The Needham Rockets swept the Framingham Flyers Tuesday afternoon 3-0 at Framingham High School. The Framingham High girls volleyball team lost 23-25, 19-25, and 13-26. Click here to view more than 40 photos from the match.
5. Framingham Public Schools events:
- Brophy PTO is holding a fundraiser at Uno’s in Framingham today. Present a coupon and 20 percent of take out and dine sales will go to the PTO. The PTO fundraiser continues on Thursday, too.
- Dunning Elementary School will hold its PTO meeting tonight at 7.
- Fuller Middle School is holding its open house tonight at 6. The school’s Interact Club is holding a bake sale to help raise money for a Central American third grade boy in need of a heart transplant.
