Marlborough Teachers, Assabet Valley Donate To Coronavirus Relief
Teachers from schools in the Marlborough area are pitching in by donating scarce medical supplies.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Local public school employees are pitching in to help fight the new coronavirus outbreak.
Both Marlborough Public Schools administrators and Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School donated medical supplies recently to local hospitals and emergency responders.
Assabet donated 12,000 gloves, 95 N95 Masks, 120 pairs of eye protection, 200 medical gowns, and 200 face masks over the last week to UMass Memorial's Marlborough Hospital and Coleman House in Northborough.

"Assabet has been, and will always be, committed to being a community resource," Assabet Superintendent Ernest Houle said in a news release. "In times of need, such as this COVID-19 situation, we all need to do more to help each other out. We are happy to be able to do our part and donate supplies to local agencies that help to take care of our community members."
Meanwhile, Marlborough staff collected unused supplies from the science departments at Whitcomb Middle School and Marlborough High School to give to emergency responders.
