Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Music MAYnia is a free community festival that features continuous live performances, instrument demos, games, arts &amp; crafts, food trucks, and more! Student performers of all ages and abilities will perform a music marathon on four stages, indoors and outdoors, ranging from classical to rock. It’s a popular event that many community members attend—and look forward to—every year. There will also be a sensory-friendly room available this year!
