We are very excited to offer this bus tour to Brox Farm, the subject of our Community Read selection Five Thousand Days Like This One. The farm’s current proprietor David Dumaresq will show us around both the Brox farm and his adjacent home farm so we can see the contrast between an established farm and a newer one. We will also be visiting the American Textile Museum in Lowell.
Tickets are $25.00 which includes bus transportation and museum admission.. The tour will start at the textile museum in the morning, and will conclude with a tour of the farms. We will be walking in the fields so wear comfortable shoes. The group will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (please note that the price of lunch is not included in the ticket price). Tickets go on sale on March 10 at the Information Desk.
The Community Read is funded in part by the Medford Arts Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and by the Friends of the Medford Public Library.
