Everything changed when a peaceful revolution began on Jan. 25, 2011. "We are Egypt" tells why it happened. Documented during 2009 and 2010, this independent documentary film goes beyond the recent headlines and gives the story through the eyes of Egypt's young activists, labor movements, and political opposition figures. Includes specialist interviews and a wide range of voices from many different walks of life in Egypt. The film is 75 minutes long and will be followed by discussion with director Lillie Paquette (F08).
Paquette is a specialist in international affairs with an MA in Global Studies from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where she focused on mass media, public opinion, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
