A Lecture by Lauren Sullivan
Thursday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Join archaeologist Lauren Sullivan for a talk about her experiences with Mayan archaeology in Belize. Sullivan runs a UMass/Boston field school in a tropical rainforest setting that was the site of Maya occupation from ca. 900 B.C. to 900 A.D. During the evening, she will describe the challenges of the project, and will talk about what the excavations have revealed about the Maya occupation.  The program will include pictures of the environment, structures, and artifacts that have been found.
