A Tony award-winning musical, Hairspray is set in the 1960s and tells the story of Baltimore teenager Tracy Turnblad and her dream to dance on The Corny Collins Show. When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight and launches a campaign to racially integrate the show, thus changing the attitudes of members of her community and beyond.
