Lynn Man Pleads Guilty To Massive Cell Phone Thievery

Reports show Frank Senibaldi may have robbed T-Mobile stores in Malden and Medford in 2013.

A Lynn resident caught with dozens of ill-gotten cell phones after his car was totaled on Route 128 pled guilty to a litany of charges in a Malden courtroom today, according to an official statement. These allegations include breaking an entry, larceny, and others related to a supposed T-Mobile nighttime burglary spree in 2013.

At the time, The Stoneham Independent reported that a handful of Massachusetts T-Mobile stores had been robbed after hours, including outlets in Malden and Medford. T-Mobile worked with police to predict which of its stores might be targeted in the future, and planted GPS tracking devices in mock-ups of products likely to be stolen from a T-Mobile outlet in Stoneham.

On the night of Monday, Sept 9, 2013, something triggered the Stoneham T-Mobile’s burglary alarm, according to the Independent. The planted GPS systems pinpointed the location of a very recent auto accident on Route 128 nearby Lynnfield, involving 46-year-old Frank Senibaldi, of Lynn. Dozens of stolen cell phones were discovered in Senibaldi’s damaged, stationary vehicle, police say.
