Mass Voters for Animals Endorses State Senator Pat Jehlen

Mass Voters for Animals endorses State Senator Pat Jehlen, a longtime friend to animals. Senator Jehlen has championed many issues, including updating the state’s animal control laws (a bill that also created a fund to train animal control officers and to create a check off on tax forms to fund spay/neuter surgeries for animals). She has been a leader on the greyhound racing issue (phasing it out and keeping it phased out) and has co sponsored many animal bills, include one to end intensive confinement for certain farm animals. She lives with several bunnies and recently adopted a cat from Charles River Alleycats.

Senator Jehlen represents the Second Middlesex district, consisting of the cities of Cambridge, wards 9 o 11, inclusive, Medford and Somerville, and the town of Winchester, precincts 4 to 7, inclusive, in the county of Middlesex.
