Medford High Names Three New Assistant Principals
Two of the three new assistant principals were promoted internally.

A Medford High School teacher and specialist have been named as the school’s new assistant principals, along with a Marblehead High School assistant principal.
Nick Tucci, a history teacher, and Dave Blauch, a support services specialist, recently were named assistant principals, along with Marblehead High’s Gail Treanor, according to a Tuesday release from the district.
Tucci, a 2001 Medford High graduate, has been a history teacher at the high school since 2007. He has also coached the varsity baseball team for three years and played professional baseball before becoming a teacher.

Tucci received a bachelor’s in history and a master’s in education from the University of Connecticut.
Blauch, a former English teacher at the high school, was the faculty advisor of the school’s Gay-Straight Alliance for nine years. He has a bachelor’s in English and English education from Boston University. He also has a master’s in secondary education from Salem State.

Before Treanor became Marblehead High’s assistant principal, she was a commerce and technology teacher at Chelsea High School from 2006-2012. Prior to that, she worked as an instructional technology specialist for the Arlington Public Schools.
She received her bachelor’s in business from Suffolk University and has a master’s in education in curriculum and instructional technology from Framingham State.
