Medford Target Making 75 New Hires

MEDFORD, MA – Target is opening a small-format store at Medford Plaza Aug. 19. The company announced Monday it is looking to hire up to 75 team members and will make several of those hires at a three-day job fair this week.

Events will take place June 21-23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 30 Washington St., Somerville.

The Medford Target is the company's 33rd store in the Boston area. It will be located at 467 Salem St. and include a food and beverage section with fresh produce, grab-and-go items, snacks and meal solutions; health, personal care and beauty products; home and décor essentials; kids apparel; accessories and back-to-school items; and men's and women's apparel and accessories.

"We look forward to building a local team of 75 talented team members who will help us serve the residents and visitors of the Medford and Malden communities," Maria Santiago, store team leader, said in a statement. "We are excited to grow our team while providing them meaningful opportunities to build and develop valuable career skills."

Target recently increased its minimum hourly wage and offers various education benefits, such as tuition and GED reimbursement.

Interested candidates are encouraged to visit Target.com/careers to apply in advance of the job fair date, and can also apply in person each day. Store leaders will conduct interviews with applicants and discuss Target’s dynamic, team-oriented culture.
