Run Medford Seeking Volunteers For Annual Race Weekend (patch.com) — Medford residents are being asked to volunteer for this year's Run Medford race weekend, which features youth events at Hormel Stadium and main 5K and new 10K races starting at City Hall. Volunteers are needed on September 25 and 26 for roles like registration, T‑shirt and medal distribution, food and water stations, and course marshaling to help keep the community event safe and smooth.

Tufts librarians declare intent to form union, ask university for voluntary recognition (tuftsdaily.com) — Library staff at Tufts, including those at Ginn and Lilly libraries on the Medford/Somerville campus, have announced plans to unionize and requested voluntary recognition from the university. With over 70% signing authorization cards, they're pressing for better pay, clearer promotion paths, and cost‑of‑living protections, and may pursue an NLRB election if Tufts declines recognition.
