Police Seek Suspect in Shooting Death of 21-Year-Old Woman

Police in the Everett, Malden and Medford area are actively searching for a gunman who fatally shot a 21-year-old woman in the early morning hours on Thursday.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said Ashlee Berryman, of Malden, was shot and killed outside of the Braza Bar and Grill on School Street in Everett around 1 a.m. Investigators said Berryman was not the intended target in the slaying.

Berryman was found outside the bar suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to Whidden Memorial Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Police have yet to identify any suspects. The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
