Somerville Police Looking For Armed Robbery Suspect

SOMERVILLE, MA — The police department announced Thursday that it is looking to identify a person it believes was involved in an armed robbery that took place at 6 Broadway in late March.

The person was captured on surveillance footage on Tuesday, March 24, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the day of the reported incident. According to police, he is a man with dark hair and a gray beard. He was seen wearing a tan Carhartt sweatshirt, a black baseball hat, a partial face covering, and dark pants.

$900 was stolen from Boston Convenience as a result of the theft. The store owners expressed their surprise that the incident occurred in the middle of the day, and their relief that their employee was not harmed. Cashier Anju Rani said she was held at knifepoint by the assailant while he raided two cash registers.
