CONCORD, NH – Ryan Berkey, 20, of Villanova Drive in Concord, was arrested at 3:59 p.m. on May 29, 2016, for criminal threatening and attempted criminal mischief. Three officers were sent to Villanova Drive for a report of a man throwing bricks at vehicles while allegedly threatening people with a crowbar. The officers spoke to two people in the driveway who stated they were not hurt. Officers then spoke with Berkey who stated that he was home from work on a lunch break eating cereal in the basement when another person in the home reportedly started yelling at him about leaving cabinet doors open. He then reportedly admitted to throwing the bowl of cereal. A woman stated, according to the report, that Berkey began to yell and scream after she asked him to shut doors when he was done. Berkey allegedly ran out of the house and went to use a car but was told he couldn’t. He allegedly stated that if he couldn’t use it, he would throw a brick at it, and proceeded to grab a brick and then tossed it onto the ground. Tristan I. McNeel, 19, of Franklin Pierce Highway in Andover, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. on May 26, 2016, on two counts of driving while intoxicated, possession of controlled drugs-marijuana, and possession of drugs. A sergeant and two officers were sent to the McDonald’s Restaurant on South Main Street for a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel in the drive-thru lane. The officers approached the 2011 Toyota Prius and saw that the engine was running and heard loud reggae music coming from the vehicle through rolled up windows. The sergeant knocked on the window “multiple times” but the driver – later identified as McNeel – allegedly didn’t wake up. The sergeant then opened the driver’s side door and yelled at the driver but he still didn’t wake up, according to the police report. The engine to the vehicle was shut off and McNeel was tapped on the shoulder until he woke up. “When the driver woke up, I saw his eyes were bloodshot and were glassy in appearance,” the officer alleged. “(The sergeant) asked the driver if he knew where he was. The driver stated he was home. The driver eventually realized he was still in the drive-thru at McDonalds.” During some back and forth, police alleged that McNeel said he got out of work about 12 hours before and was just getting food. After a field sobriety test, he was arrested. During an inventory search, police allegedly found five unopened Budweisers, a smoking device with residue, a jar with marijuana, and digital scale. He had a court date on June 13.
