Car Crashing Into Utility Pole Leads to DWI Charges: LOG

Concord Police: Eaten cheese stick, stolen items leads to summons; woman from Lebanon stumbles on Manchester Street, verbally let's loose.

CONCORD, NH -

Alan White, 25, of Pine Street in Manchester, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2015, on three bench warrants, one was a felony. Also receiving a summons was Jessica Corbin, 25, of Cartier Road in Manchester, for operating without a valid license. A Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driving on Loudon Road had a passenger side taillight out and was pulled over. The driver, Corbin, didn’t have a valid driver’s license, according to dispatch. The passenger in her truck, White, had three bench warrants – a criminal mischief charge out of Manchester from Oct. 6, 2015, a nonappearance in court warrant issued out of Newport from Nov. 13, 2015, $485 cash bail, and a nonappearance in Concord District Court warrant from Dec. 1, 2015, with $1,000 cash bail. White was arrested and held.

Yulia Berdnikova, 35, pictured, of Prescott Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:39 p.m. on Oct. 27, on two counts of driving while intoxicated. Officers were sent to Iron Works Road for a report of a vehicle crashing into a utility pole. When they arrived, they found the driver and a state trooper standing in front of the accident scene which left “considerable damage” to the passenger side of the vehicle. The Concord officer spoke with the driver, Berdnikova, who allegedly smelled like alcohol and was swaying back and forth and constantly adjusting her stance to stand still. She also had a small injury to her hand. Berdnikova’s husband arrived and she reportedly began clapping when he arrived but he had to tell her that she was being arrested for driving while intoxicated in Russian, according to the report.

Mary Ellen J. L. Matthews, 29, of Copperline Drive in Epsom, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. on Dec. 9, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer for allegedly attempting to walk out of the store with $30.90 worth of items – a charger, air fresheners, a scarf, light bulbs, and other items – while not paying for them. According to the store manager, Matthews allegedly would “turn away” from the employee when she looked at her and the items in her bag allegedly set off the store’s alarm. She’s due in court on Jan. 25, 2016.

Marc J. Aldrich, 43, of Downing Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. on Dec. 1, on a bench warrant. Officers were sent to an apartment on Downing Street for a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they heard a man and woman speaking behind a door. They investigated the incident and determined it was only a verbal argument. However, Aldrich was wanted on a Concord District Court warrant from Nov. 4, 2015, for nonappearance in court on a criminal threatening charge and he was arrested. Aldrich is due in court on Dec. 15.

Hope Charron, 41, of Marshal Court in Pittsfield, received a summons at 3:49 p.m. on Nov. 20, on a theft charge involving more than $27 worth of items including candle wax, coffee creamer, and a cheese stick wrapper – she allegedly ate the cheese stick that she reportedly didn’t pay for and stuff the wrapper into her bag. Charron is due in court on Dec. 28.

Damien I. Armendariz, 22, of High Street in Boscawen, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. on Oct. 23, on four warrants as well as driving after revocation or suspension and disobeying an officer. The vehicle didn’t come to a complete stop on Broadway, according to the report, so the officer followed the vehicle and pulled it over on Downing Street. The driver allegedly gave the officer a phony name and couldn’t provide registration for the vehicle. The name and birth date the man gave wasn’t in the state system, according to dispatch. The officer double-checked the information and then asked for a phone number but he reported told the officer that he forgot the number. He also couldn’t remember his SSI number, according to the report. Another officer arrived and looked up the man’s name on Facebook from Concord, NH, but the driver didn’t match that man. The registered owner of the vehicle also didn’t match the driver, according to an arrest report and court affidavit. Due to the inconsistent information, the man was taken into custody on a disobeying an officer charge. Another officer looked into the registered owner and found the name “Damien Armendariz” associated with the owner. His booking photo matched that of the driver’s. “Sorry I lied to you,” he allegedly told the officer after being discovered. Armendariz’s license was suspended on March 12, 2015, for DWI default and owed $2,276.33 on bench warrants and was held.

Jennifer Stevenson, 23, of Royal Gardens in Concord, was arrested at 9:19 a.m. on Oct. 21, for criminal mischief. Officers were sent to the complex for a report of a woman “flipping out.” They spoke with all the parties involved and discovered that it was a verbal disagreement but that Stevenson allegedly broke some serving trays, and knocked over a space heater owned by a relative.

Laurel A. Paterson, 50, of Prospect Street in Lebanon, was arrested at 5:59 p.m. on Oct. 16, for simple assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. According to an arrest report and court affidavit, police tipped off about an intoxicated woman staggering down and stumbling in the middle of Manchester Street. The caller said he saw the woman fall down at one point. A second call came in from an off-duty police officer that was at Banks Chevrolet while the woman, Paterson, was reportedly attempting to retrieve her vehicle from the dealership. “(The officer) reported that the female appeared inebriated and had trouble standing, walking, and speaking,” the report alleged. Another witness stated that the woman was at Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse while her vehicle was being serviced. The officers went to speak to Paterson who was reportedly passed out in a chair and had blood on her leg from an abrasion on her knee. They spoke to the woman and she allegedly was “hostile and aggressive,” as well as swearing. They escorted her out and attempted to find a sober person to take custody of her but she allegedly stated, “F--- you. You’re a f------ retard,” and then “whipped her right arm toward” the officer and struck him in the forearm. She was then arrested. While being transported to police headquarters, Paterson reportedly freed herself from one of the handcuffs and began striking the metal partition with the handcuff and her legs while screaming “at the top of her lungs.” The officer pulled over outside of The Draft on South Main Street, waited for other officers, and then secured her again, according to the court affidavit.

John T. Cassidy, 46, of Leewood Street in Manchester, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 16, for theft at the Toys R Us on Loudon Road on June 18, 2015. According to a court affidavit, he allegedly took a stroller from the sales floor and attempted to return it. Cassidy was served with a warrant at the Rockingham County Jail.
