Concord Crimeline Seeks Assistance with Shoplifting Incident
Alert: A man named "Steve" allegedly concealed electronics from the Rite Aid on Thursday before fleeing the area. Does he look familiar?

CONCORD, NH - The Concord Regional Crimeline has issued an alert asking for the public’s help with a shoplifting incident last week at the Rite Aid on North State Street.
According to the alert, at just before 3 p.m. on Feb. 25, 2016, a man came into the store and allegedly concealed a number of electronic items including a Magic Jack Plus, a Smart Socket, and a wi-fi router with a total value of around $130. A store employee, having observed the subject allegedly putting the items under his coat, confronted the man before he fled the area.

“The employee was able to retrieve the items concealed by the subject who identified himself only as ‘Steve,’” according to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit. “The subject then pushed past the store employee and ran out of the store. He was last seen running towards the back of the building.”
The man was white, and at the time of the incident, wearing a black coat with a full-length zipper up the front of the jacket. He also had a scruffy beard, according to police.

Police recovered these surveillance photos of the incident that depict a person of interest in the case.
O’Malley stated in the alert: The photos are of poor quality, however we ask that anyone who has information about this case to call the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100, or submit information online to the website at concordregionalcrimeline.com, or Txt TIP234 and their message to CRIMES (274637).
