Concord Man Arrested On Heroin-Fentanyl Sales Charges
Robert Bartlett faces three felony drug charges after being accused of drug dealing at the McDonald's Restaurant on South Main Street.

CONCORD, NH — A Concord man is due back in superior court next month after being accused of selling heroin in Downtown Concord in February.
A detective and an officer, performing narcotics surveillance on Feb. 11, were on South Main Street at just before 6:30 p.m. when they were tipped off by other officers that a drug deal had just taken place between the operators of two vehicles in the parking lot of the McDonald's Restaurant.
The officers met with the operator of one of the vehicles, Dana Richardson, accused him of being in possession of heroin-fentanyl, and arrested him. Other officers followed the second vehicle, a Chrysler, while the first two officers were processing Richardson. The vehicle was ordered stopped on North State Street.

The officers approached the driver — Robert Bartlett, 24, of West Street in Concord — and spoke to him as well as a passenger in the vehicle, while a sergeant spoke to Richardson.
"(A) sergeant contacted me while I was roadside and advised that Richardson waived his Miranda rights at headquarters and gave a statement that he had purchased the heroin from the operator of this white Chrysler," the officer wrote. "He identified the person who he had purchased it from as 'Rob Bartlett.'"

The officer then arrested Bartlett on a sale of a controlled drug charge.
While handcuffed, he was patted down and in his front jeans pocket, police accused Bartlett of being in possession of a sandwich bag of a brown powdery substance.
"I asked Robert what it was," the officer said. "Robert told me it was heroin."
The officer also accused Bartlett of being in possession of a bag of pills, identified as Vicodin. When asked if he a prescription for the drug, "he told me no," the officer wrote.
Bartlett's vehicle was seized while a search warrant was requested. During a search of Bartlett, police accused him of being in possession of heroin inside of a folded McDonald's advertisement. When asked to turn out his pockets, Bartlett, the officer wrote, "tried to hand me something. I asked him what it was. Robert said, 'Heroin.'"
The officer got an evidence bag, collected all the drugs, and he was arrested and processed on sale of a heroin-fentanyl, possession of heroin-fentanyl with intent to distribute, and possession of Vicodin charges, all felonies. He was released on personal recognizance bail.
On Feb. 27, Bartlett entered a plea of not guilty in Merrimack County Superior Court. He's due back in court on May 22.
According to court documents, Bartlett was arrested on four controlled drug; acts prohibited charges in 2017.
