Concord Officers Injured During Scuffle With Perp With Priors
Christopher Holland allegedly assaulted three officers downtown this morning after a trespassing incident at a North End business.

CONCORD, NH — A local man who has been arrested on drug dealing and other charges during the past few years is in trouble again after being arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers this morning. Christopher Holland, 22, of Concord, was arrested on April 23, 2019, on three counts of simple assault and resisting. He was also cited on a pedestrian on roadway violation.
Officers were sent to Suds Appeal on Washington Street in Concord for a report of a suspicious person who was loitering at the business. The business manager requested police to move the man, identified as Holland, along. An officer, according to Lt. Sean Ford, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the Concord Police Department, trespassed Holland from the business and he began to walk away.
“As he did so, he began walking in traffic and standing in traffic lanes, impeding morning commuters,” Ford alleged. “Officers told the male to use the crosswalks.”

However, Holland reportedly ignored officers and continued to walk in traffic all the way down to North Main Street.
An officer attempted to take Holland into custody but he allegedly began to fight with the officer. Two other officers arrived to assist and while the three officers were attempting to take control of Holland, they were injured.

“During the course of the incident, two Concord police officers received significant injuries to extremities and another received minor injuries,” Ford added.
Holland was arrested and held on $10,000 cash bail.
At the time, Holland was out on bail after being arrested on a breach of bail charge during a drug raid on Rollins Street.
Since January, Holland has been arrested five times by police, Ford noted. In one of those cases, an early morning arrest in early February, Holland was charged after being found behind the White Mountain Gourmet Coffee shop on Pleasant Street. He had two active warrants. Holland was also charged with resisting, loitering, felon in possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled drug, and possession of burglary tools.
During the past few years, Holland has been arrested and indicted on numerous drug dealing and possession charges as well as second-degree assault, criminal mischief, resisting, failure to appear, driving after revocation, receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of alcohol, and warrants, in Concord, Manchester, and on the Seacoast.
