Concord Police Log: More Drinking Teens Charged

Plus, Charles Macdaid, pictured, charged with disorderly conduct; Laconia woman arrested for DWI; Pittsfield woman charged with theft.

Courtney Allison Laquire, 25, of South State Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:45 a.m. on Aug. 28, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration charges. While on traffic patrol near the Abbot-Downing Elementary School, a check of a Ford Explorer yielded a driver with a suspended license, Laquire, from May 14, for default court summons. The vehicle was stopped and Laquire was arrested.

Arthur Edwin Presby Jr., 39, of Horse Corner Road in Chichester, was arrested at 5:29 p.m. on Aug. 28, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge. While on patrol on Clinton Street, an officer clocked a Ford Freestar going 54 mph in a 35 zone and pulled the vehicle over. The driver, Presby, had his license suspended on July 5, for default on child support. He was also convicted of operation after revocation in February 2011.

Charles William Macdaid Sr. (pictured), 40, of Hutchins Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 28, on a disorderly conduct charge from Aug. 10, on Hutchins Street. Macdaid was arrested at Cumberland Farms on Fisherville Road.

Thomas Randall Baker Sr., 27, of Dearborn Road in Auburn, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. on Aug. 29, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge and a warrant for nonappearance in court for second-degree assault out of Coos County Superior Court. He was held on $500 cash bail.

Kay Lynn Mullikin, 18, of Fisherville Road in Concord, received a summons at 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 30, on an unlawful possession of alcohol charge. Officers were sent to Fisherville Road for a noise complaint with a caller saying there were numerous intoxicated individuals slamming doors and yelling. At the apartment, the resident said he had just turned 21 and was having a birthday gathering. He apologized for the noise. The officers checked all the other attendees’ IDs to make sure everyone was of age and all but one, Mullikin, was. She allegedly had red, bloodshot eyes and smelled like alcohol but denied drinking. She was given a summons.

Marybeth La Rocque, 34, of Landing Lane in Laconia, was arrested at 1:11 a.m. on Aug. 30, on two counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. While at the intersection of Loudon Road and North Main Street, an officer saw a Mini Cooper traveling without its lights on. The officer turned around and pulled the vehicle over. The driver, La Rocque, allegedly smelled like alcohol and had red eyes. She allegedly fumbled around to turn the vehicle’s lights on when the officer asked her if she realized they weren’t illuminated. She agreed to a field sobriety test and allegedly had trouble standing and had to use the door to pull herself up out of the vehicle. She was later arrested.

Kathleen Couch, 59, of Main Street in Pittsfield, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 30, on a theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge. Police were sent to the Shaw’s on D’Amante Drive for a shoplifter in custody. An employee alleged that Couch stole 50 items valued at $141.14. Officers looked at video surveillance of the incident and then arrested Couch.

Jonathan Russell Deveraux, 23, of Beth Drive in Concord, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 30, on criminal trespass and attempted simple assault charges. Officers were sent to Fisherville Road for an intoxicated man in a residence who didn’t belong there. Later, the man left, and police caught up with him at the CC Tomatoes, hiding in a wooded area south of the restaurant. The resident alleged that he fell asleep and when he woke up, there as a man in his living room who he didn’t know. The man, Deveraux, was allegedly intoxicated and making no sense. When he was asked to leave, he began calling the resident names and later, allegedly took a swing at him. Deveraux was arrested and held without bail.

Shawn Michael Mitchell Jr., 17, of Sanders Street in Penacook, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. on Aug. 30, on unlawful possession of alcohol and possession of controlled drugs charges. Also, Trevor Michael Truchon, 17, of West Street in Concord, received a summons for unlawful possession of alcohol. Officers were called to Concord Sand and Gravel for a report of individuals throwing rocks at a van. When they arrived, they found two males who were running from the scene. The officer ordered them to stop and they did. When asked what they were doing there, the teens said that they were dropped off at Walmart and waiting to be picked up, according to the report. The officer alleged that both Mitchell and Truchon had glassy, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. When asked if they had any contraband, Mitchell allegedly handed the officer a pipe with burnt marijuana in it. When ask if they had been drinking, Truchon allegedly stated he had a few beers.

Christopher M. Rydel, 21, of Federal Street in Concord, was arrested at 5:28 a.m. on Aug. 31, on a driving while intoxicated charge. An officer was sent to 96 Rumford Street for a report of a parked vehicle with its lights on and music blaring from it. The officer approached the Scion and found two males in the car. The officer tapped on the window and the driver, Rydel, allegedly gave the officer a blank stare. “I observed Rydell’s eyes to be glassy and bloodshot,” the officer wrote. Rydell powered the window down and he allegedly smelled like alcohol. He agreed to a field sobriety test and while getting out of the car, was allegedly “very unsteady on his feet” and spoke with “very slurred speech.” He was later arrested.

Sean M. Emery, 21, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons at 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 31, for possession of an alcoholic beverage on public property. Officers were sent to the playground at Concord Gardens for a report of juveniles drinking. They met up with Emery who allegedly showed signs of intoxication, including not being able to keep his eyes open and being unsteady on his feet. He had an open can of Twisted Tea right next to him, police alleged, and he was charged.
