Concord Rapist Sent To Prison For Sexually Exploiting A Minor
Jerry Roberts was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after a hammer attack investigation on Fisherville Road led to child pornography.

CONCORD, NH — A Concord rapist with prior drug, assault, and other convictions is heading to federal prison for 30 years after being found guilty of sexually exploiting a minor.
A federal judge sentenced Jerry S. Roberts, Jr., 38, of Concord, to prison for 360 months on Monday.
Back in July 2019, Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a report of a man jumping from a second-floor apartment window at the Concord Park North apartment complex on Fisherville Road.

About a month later, Roberts was charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, and criminal liability for the conduct of another, all felonies, as well as resisting arrest or detention charges.
The victim in the assault told police Roberts, as well as a minor, had left items in his apartment. Police obtained search warrants, and detectives found several electronic items — including a digital camera. Investigators also identified two videos Roberts had filmed depicting the minor engaging in sexual activity.
“Roberts is a repeat and dangerous sex offender against children,” U.S. Attorney Jane Young said. “The sentence handed down in this case reflects the serious nature of the crimes committed by this defendant, which are particularly troubling given his multiple prior convictions for sexual abuse of young children. This office is committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our society — our children — and to bringing sexual predators like Roberts to justice.”
Roberts will also be required to be under lifetime supervised release when and if he is released from prison.
“The Concord Police Department remains committed to investigating crimes against children in an effort to protect such a vulnerable population,” Lt. Marc P. McGonagle of the criminal investigations division said. “We are thankful for the hard work that was put in by all investigators from the Concord Police Department, Homeland Security and staff from the U.S. Attorney’s Office on this case.”
Matthew Millhollin, as special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England, said the Roberts will now be behind bars, unable to re-offend, and his victims can begin to heal and look to the future.
“Homeland Security Investigations is proud to provide assistance and expertise to our local partners in the Concord Police Department,” he said, “working together to ensure predators like Roberts are brought to justice.”
Roberts, according to the state of New Hampshire, was convicted on a sexual assault charge as well as two simple assault charges in October 2004, in Rockingham County and two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under 16 in September 2008, in Belknap County.
Between 2004 and 2017, Robert was convicted of violation of terms, possession of drugs, witness tampering, second-degree assault charges, reckless conduct, stalking, domestic violence, and both duty to report and failure to comply.
Roberts was a Fugitive of the Week in February 2017, due to a parole violation. He was arrested three months later in Lebanon, hiding under a bed in an apartment.
