Drug Raid On Concord Street; Overdose On Fayette Street
Updated: A SWAT team, police, and firefighters were sent to incidents this morning in the South End.
CONCORD, NH — It’s been a busy morning in the South End for alleged drug activity, according to witnesses and scanner chatter. Early this morning, a SWAT team raided a home on Concord Street just east of the intersection with South Street. A witness reported seeing a team raiding the home at around 6 a.m. on July 13, 2017.
The home – a known drug den in the neighborhood – was the same location where multiple overdoses, including at least one fatal OD, were reported back in April, and has been known to be a hot spot for alleged drug sales and domestic violence and other incidents, according to previous posts on Patch.
At just after 7:30 a.m., Concord Fire and Rescue teams along with police were called to Fayette Street near the United Baptist Church for a report of an overdose. According to scanner chatter, it sounded as if the patient was either not breathing or had already passed. The patient, a woman, was transported to the hospital, according to officials.
