NH Politicos Host Debate Parties Monday Night
Republican Victory/Team Trump and Hillary for NH host watching events all around the Granite State for the first presidential debate.

Tens of millions of Americans are expected to watch the first presidential debate of the 2016 general election season on Monday night. While most will be hanging out at home watching, what if you want to go out? What if you’re interested in hanging out with political supporters of the two major party candidates?
This weekend both the Hillary for New Hampshire organization and Republican Victory/Team Trump organizations released a list of where and when they will be hosting debate parties.
Clinton’s campaign in New Hampshire announced that it has organized 30 debate watch parties, including Manchester, Concord, and Portsmouth, as well as Nashua, Laconia, Peterborough, Keene, Albany, Moultonborough, Berlin, Plymouth, Dover, Durham, Newmarket, Exeter, Deerfield, Hampton, Londonderry, Franklin, Claremont, Hampstead, Hanover, and Milford.

The Manchester party will start at 8 p.m. and be held at The Strange Brew, 88 Market St. The Concord debate party will be held at a private residence on North Main Street. In Portsmouth, supporters will be meeting at the Portsmouth Dems Office, 125 Brewery Lane, at 8 p.m. To RSVP for the Concord watch party, click here. GOPers will be holding 15 parties including at the Trump Office in Salem at 303 S. Broadway, the GOP Victory Office in Stratham at 62 Portsmouth Ave., the GOP Victory Office in Nashua at 11 Main St., the Trump Office in Manchester at 340 Granite St., and The Draft in Concord, 67 S. Main St.
Debate Details
- When: Monday, Sept. 26, 2016
- Time: 9 to 10:30 p.m. EST; no commercial breaks
- Where: Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York
- Who: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, moderator Lester Holt of NBC News; Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein failed to make the debate based on recent polling.
- Viewing: The debate will be aired live on C-SPAN, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, as well as all cable news channels including CNN, Fox News and MSNBC among others.
- Format: The debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics selected by the moderator. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
