Two Arrested at Bow Sobriety Checkpoint
New Hampshire State Police screened nearly 200 vehicles at the I-89, Route 3A interchange.

BOW, NH - The New Hampshire State Police Department held it first sobriety checkpoint of 2016 last night and this morning at the intersection of I-89, route 3A, and Hall Street in Bow, and according to police, checked 192 vehicles during the checkpoint.
Troopers – as well as New Hampshire Liquor Enforcement – arrested two people this weekend on possession of drug charges. One of the arrests was a felony, according to the report.

“The New Hampshire State Police is committed to taking an aggressive stance in utilizing Safety and Sobriety Checkpoints as a tool to deter, detect and apprehend persons while driving when intoxicated,” according to Staff Sgt. Charles Johnston of NHSP Troop D, in a statement. “New Hampshire has some of the most aggressive laws in the country to fight the intoxicated driver and we are dedicated to using those tools to their full extent to make sure our citizens and visitors are safe when operating their vehicles on our roadways.”
