Mass. Man Indicted For Allegedly Impersonating A Detective
Man indicted for allegedly stealing from Seabrook Walmart, alleged welfare fraudster indicted, Derry man indicted for reckless conduct.
BRENTWOOD, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Rockingham County Superior Court.
Sean O’Connell, 34, of Brown Hill Road in East Hampstead, for felony theft by unauthorized taking, attempted theft by unauthorized taking, robbery, and use or possession of a theft detection device for allegedly stealing more than $1,500 worth of items from Walmart in Seabrook on Sept. 18, 2016, attempting to steal items from the store on Nov. 3, 2016, and robbing Macy’s in Salem on Jan. 6, 2017. The device charge was from Sept. 6, 2016, in Seabrook. Previously, according to the indictment, O’Connell was convicted twice before of theft.
James Ortolani, 46, pictured lower right, of Tiffany Road in Salem, for felony possession of a controlled drug-Buprenorphine and driving after revocation or suspension allegedly on March 9, 2017, on Route 28 in Salem.

Nichole Page, 29, of Orange Street in Farmington, for felony welfare fraud. Between June and December 2016, she allegedly misrepresented the cost of childcare expenses to receive food stamps in Portsmouth. Nenia Paige, 27, pictured lower center, of Cummins Highway in Mattapan, MA, for felony theft by unauthorized taking for allegedly stealing handbags from Lord & Taylor in Salem on March 6, 2016, reportedly in concert with Stacy Monteiro.
Danny Paniagua-Zapata, 34, of Park Street in Lawrence, MA, for felony sale of a controlled drug-fentanyl allegedly in concert with Marisol Dewindt on March 10, 2017, in Salem.
Elis Paredes, 33, of Portland Street in Haverhill, MA, for theft by unauthorized taking and attempted theft by unauthorized taking, all felonies, for allegedly stealing a Samsung television from Sears in Kingston on Nov. 17, 2015.
Rhonda Petrin, 46, of Quaker Meeting House Road in Durham, ME, for possession of a controlled drug-cocaine and falsifying physical evidence allegedly on Jan. 7, 2017, in Salem.
Steven Phillips, 30, of Cimarron Street in Seabrook, for theft by unauthorized taking and theft by deception, both felonies. Between January and April 2016, he allegedly obtained control of currency owned by Mabardy Oil in Seabrook.
Danielle Plouffe, 28, of Penn Lane in Exeter, for willful concealment-third offense allegedly stealing items from Kohl’s in Seabrook on March 23, 2017. Twice before, according to the indictment, she’s been convicted of theft.
Richard W. Porter, 57, pictured lower left, of Vale Street in Salem, MA, for felony false personation. On Dec. 8, 2016, he allegedly pretended to be a police detective from Londonderry and ordered another person to serve cease and desist orders against another or be arrested.
Jon Potter, 56, of Aladdin Circle in Derry, on two felony reckless conduct charges as well as criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and four disorderly conduct counts. On Feb. 27, 2017, he allegedly was doing burnouts in the reverse direction of two others in Derry while damaging lawns and breaching the peace. He also allegedly occupied a structure without privilege to do so, according to the indictment.
