Nashua Drug Sweep: 'Granite Hammer' Nets 7
The latest Nashua police "Granite Hammer" drug sweep netted seven arrests, authorities announced Wednesday.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua police arrested seven suspects in the latest "Granite Hammer" drug sweep this week. Police announced the arrests Wednesday morning. Suspects were charged with crimes involving heroin, methamphetamine and prescription drugs. The Granite Hammer program is a collaboration between New Hampshire police agencies and the FBI targeting drug distribution, especially involving opioids.

The suspects were "arrested for various drug crimes, and various crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity," Nashua police Lieutenant Brian Kenney said in a statement.

Karl Saunders, 34, of Nashua, was charged with conspiracy to sell heroin.
Sammy Hernandez, 33, of Manchester, was charged with selling methamphetamine. Police said he also had a warrant for failing to show up in court.
Michael Brooks, 61, of North Conway, was charged with liability to the sale of methamphetamine and methamphetamine possession.
Kyle Fleury, 26, of Nashua, was charged with liability to the sale of methamphetamine.

Tyler Coco, 23, of Derry, was charged arrested on a warrant for failing to show up in court in a drug sale case.
John Pennell, 31, Manchester, was arrested on a warrant related to a drug possession case.
Police said anyone with information about illegal drug activity in Nashua should contact the narcotics hotline at 603-594-3597.
It was the 17th crime sweep in Nashua so far this year. A total of 91 suspects have been arrested in those sweeps.
