Nashua Man Facing 10 Years in Prison on Federal Weapons Charge
Richard Lariviere, 45, was previously convicted of assaulting a police officer.

A Nashua man is facing a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges.
Richard Lariviere, 45, was arrested on May 20, 2014 after police said he was in possession of loaded Walther handgun and ammunition while staying at a local hotel. Lariviere in 2009 was convicted of assaulting a police officer in Ohio and his sentence included not being allowed to carry a gun.
Lariviere on Monday pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in federal court in Concord. He faces up to 10 years in prison. He will be sentenced Aug. 17.

“Enforcement of the federal firearms laws is a priority for this office,” acting U.S. Attorney Donald Feith said in a statement.
