Police Bag 5 During Latest Operation Granite Shield Drug Raids

Eddie Nolasco of Lowell; Scott Collier formerly of Concord, Joe Burgos, Laura Gettings, Corey Scruton of Nashua were all arrested yesterday.

NASHUA, NH — More Operation Granite Shield drug raids took place in Nashua on March 22, 2018, leading to charges against five people in the city. Arrested were Scott Collier, 36, upper left, of no fixed address in Nashua but formerly of Concord, for acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-second offense, crack cocaine-felony, and an active capias arrest warrant; Eddie Nolasco, 24, upper middle, Lincoln Street in Lowell, MA, on two counts of acts prohibited; sale of a controlled drug, heroin and oxycodone, both felonies; Joe Burgos, 32, upper right, of Temple Street in Nashua, on two counts of acts prohibited, possession of a controlled drug-second offense, heroin and crack cocaine, both felonies, and felony falsifying physical evidence; Laura Gettings, 27, lower left, of Ridge Street in Nashua, on an active capias warrant; and Corey Scruton, 27, lower right, of Pleasant Street in Nashua, on an active capias warrant.

The raids involved the department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division, Problem Oriented Policing Unit, and Traffic Enforcement Unit and all five were arrested for “various drug crimes, and various crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity,” according to Lt. Brian Kenney of the Nashua Police Department.

Collier refused bail and will be arraigned today. Nolasco was held on $25,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned today. Burgo was held on $5,000 cash bail and is also being arraigned today. Both Gettings and Scrunton were held without bail and are being arraigned today, too.
