Alleged Portsmouth Stalker Arrested: Police Log

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Joseph M. Merlina, 31, of Bigelow Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2017, for willful concealment. He was arrested by Salem Police on a Portsmouth warrant.

Robert Laroche, 39, of Wallingford Square in Kittery, ME, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2017, on four warrants for criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest out of Portsmouth, as well as a possession of controlled/narcotic drugs-marijuana. He was arrested while hanging out in a park on Islington Street.

Donald E. Harris, 57, of South Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 7:07 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2017, on a bench warrant. He was arrested after police were sent to Lafayette Road who were walking to the rear of a business. Harris was arrested in the parking lot of Goodwill.

A 16-year-old was arrested at 10:48 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2017, for possession of drugs in a motor vehicle. The juvenile was arrested at the intersection of Lafayette Road and McKinley Road.

Shawna Wollert, 48, of Holly Lane in Portsmouth, was arrested at 5:37 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2017, for two counts of domestic violence-simple assault and criminal mischief. Police were sent to a domestic disturbance on Holly Lane with a female calling alleging that there were problems. Fire and rescue teams were also sent to the home to assist a man with injuries. Wollert was arrested later. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Clifford Avery, 47, of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. on Dec. 16, 2016, and charged with stalking-domestic violence, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. Police were sent to Holiday Drive for a harassment allegation via phone and possibly outside. An officer had reportedly spoken to a man the previous afternoon and warned the man to stay out of the area and have no further contact. Police didn’t find the man but the woman alleged she was still receiving text messages and suggested an apartment where the many might be. Officers later located the man and arrested him, according to the report.

Todd D. Ball, 54, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 9:52 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2016, on a bench warrant after police allegedly found him sleeping in an ATM booth on Pleasant Street.

Murphy Ronan, 23, of Oakwood Lane in Worcester, MA, was arrested at 8:34 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2016, for simple assault and criminal trespass. He was arrested on a warrant.

Lucille E. Smith, 51, of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2016, for driving after suspension and suspended registration. She was arrested after a traffic stop on Lafayette Road.

Hector M. Guzman, 49, of High Street in Somersworth, was arrested at 8:21 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2016, for driving after revocation or suspension after a motor vehicle stop on the northbound side of the Route 1 Bypass.

Lynn M. Gagne, 57, of Dover Street in Dover, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. on Dec. 5, 2016, on three bench warrants out of Dover District Court. She was arrested after police were sent to Porter and Fleet streets for a report of two people attempting to set up a camp. A man was moved along, according to police.
