Sex Offenders Arrested On Warrants: Portsmouth Police Log
Plus, Kittery man arrested for vandalism, elderly Florida man arrested on animal cruelty charge, Sandown man charged with witness tampering.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Daniel W. Russell, 53, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:07 a.m. on Oct. 13, 2017, on a bench warrant. He was arrested after a check of a person at a bus stop on Hanover Street. The man had an electronic bench warrant out of Portsmouth District Court and was arrested.
Michael Daley, 31, of Chestnut Street in Rochester, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2017, for sex offender duty to report. He was arrested on a warrant.

Nicholas Blangiardi, 28, of Idelwood Lane in Kittery, ME, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2017, on three counts of criminal mischief-vandalism. He was arrested on a warrant. Ronald Sturzenberger, 73, of Merano Court in Bonita Springs, FL, was arrested at 2:02 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2017, for animals in a motor vehicle. He was arrested on a warrant.

William S. Cavanaugh, 28, pictured right, of State Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 9:52 a.m. on Oct. 12, 2017, for sex offender duty to report. He was arrested on a warrant.
Christopher Shields, 54, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 6:49 p.m. on Oct. 11, 2017, on a warrant as well as a disobeying an officer charge. He was arrested on Greenleaf Avenue after allegedly not stopping for police. Shields had an active warrant out of Strafford County, $1,144 cash bail.
Ryan Young, 22, of Scott Lane in Sandown, was arrested at 12:19 p.m. on Oct. 11, 2017, on interference with the custody of a child and tampering with witnesses and informants. Police were sent to Lafayette Road attempting to locate a wanted person whose vehicle was located in the plaza. The man was later found at a rent-a-car facility and then, transported to the hospital for treatment because he “keeps passing out,” according to dispatch. Young was taken to police headquarters and then, jail, after being cleared.
Joseph G. Diment, 77, pictured left, of Crescent Lane in Wells, ME, was arrested at 9:58 a.m. on Oct. 11, 2017, for sex offender duty to report. He was arrested on a warrant.
