Three Arrested During Portsmouth Sobriety Checkpoint
Hundreds of vehicles were checked on Market Street; Providence, Rochester, and Manchester residents arrested.
PORTSMOUTH, NH – The Portsmouth Police Department held a sobriety checkpoint this weekend and arrested three people as part of the checking process.
Arrested were:
- Lanice Perry, 26, pictured bottom left, of Hamlin Street in Providence, RI, was arrested for transportation of drugs in a motor vehicle.
- Steven Tessitore, 35, pictured upper left, of Brock Street in Rochester, was arrested for driving while intoxicated-second offense.
- Timothy Lambrou, 36, pictured right, of Douglas Street in Manchester, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and disobeying a police officer.

According to Capt. Frank Warchol, the sobriety checkpoint was held outside of 500 Market St. between 10 p.m. on July 16, 2016, and 3 a.m. on July 17.

A total of 358 drivers were screened during the checkpoint. Members of the Portsmouth Police Explorer Post also assisted with the checkpoint.
