Numerous Mass. Residents Arrested at NH Sobriety Checkpoint

State and local police stopped and screened nearly 600 vehicles last night and this morning on Route 1A in Seabrook.

SEABROOK, NH – The latest New Hampshire State Police and local police sobriety checkpoint occurred between July 8, and July 9, 2016, in Seabrook, and resulted in 11 people being arrested.

According to a report, the following people were arrested for driving while intoxicated:

Marsha Higginbotham, 48, of Haverhill, MA; Ducan Morrell, 63, of Topsfield, MA; Paul Marcoux, 52, of Pelham; Alison Jette, 30, of Quincy, MA; Gordon White, 50, of Milford, CT; and Antonio Medeiros Jr., 32, of Newton, who was also arrested for being a parole detainer.

Also arrested were: Adelin Nina-Fermin, 20, of Lawrence, MA, for possession controlled drug; Joseph Mbugua, 20, of Lawrence, MA, for operating after suspension and transporting drugs; Alan Thomas, 33, of Lowell, MA, for transporting drugs; Nicole Palizzolo, 21, of Haverhill, MA, for possession controlled drug; and Jacob Wilmot, 20, of Candia, for transporting alcohol and transporting drugs.

According to Lt. Christopher Vetter of the NHSP, 573 vehicles were stopped and screened during the sobriety checkpoint. Along with troopers, Hampton Police, Seabrook Police, and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department participated in the action.
