Janoris Jenkins' Brother Charged In Man's Death At Fair Lawn Home

William H. Jenkins, of Fair Lawn, was charged with aggravated manslaughter in Rene's death, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Janoris Jenkins' brother, William has been charged in the death of Roosevelt Rene, the dead man found at Jenkins' Van Saun Place home, authorities announced Wednesday.

William H. Jenkins was charged with aggravated manslaughter in Rene's death, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Fair Lawn Police Department stated. Jenkins is currently in custody in Ontario County, New York, authorities said, who were unable to release more information.

William Jenkins was arrested in upstate New York early Tuesday morning about nine hours before Rene's body was discovered, according to TMZ.

Rene, 25, was found in the Jenkins brothers' Van Saun Place home Tuesday, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo. Fair Lawn Police received a call about the body just before 10:30 a.m., Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler confirmed.

Janoris Jenkins was not at home when Rene's body was discovered, ESPN reported. Jenkins has been in Florida since Giants minicamp ended two weeks ago, according to sources. Jenkins' attorneys advised him to stay in Florida.

Rene was a hip-hop and R&B music producer known as Trypps Beatz. The Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy on Rene's body to determine the cause of death.

An autopsy on Rene's body was scheduled for Wednesday morning, Fair Lawn Police said. The prosecutor's office said it would release more information once it becomes available.

The New York Giants are "aware of and monitoring the situation," according to multiple reports.
