Deer Tangled In Soccer Net Rescued In Franklin
A young buck has two Franklin Animal Control Officers to thank after getting his antlers stuck in a soccer net.
FRANKLIN, NJ — A young buck has two Franklin Animal Control Officers to thank after getting his antlers stuck in a soccer net.
Someone driving by the field on Weston Canal Road on Tuesday morning spotted the deer in distress and called the Franklin Police, Lt. Phil Rizzo said.
Franklin Animal Control Officers Rick Hagedorn and Katie were able to cover the buck's eyes to calm it down and then free him, Rizzo said.

"Not all hero’s wear capes!! Katie and Rick were able to save this deer," Franklin Township Police Department - Somerset County posted.
The deer did not appear injured once it was freed.
