A Pool For Hoboken: Council Votes On Contract To Use Stevens Pool
Hoboken doesn't have a community pool, but the city is floating the idea of a 1-year contract with the Stevens Institute to use theirs.

At Wednesday night's City Council meeting, the council was set to vote on a resolution for a contract to allow the community to use the pool at the Stevens Institute of Technology, with hours to be determined later. (Watch Patch for updates.) According to the contract, users must be COVID vaccinated.

As of Wednesday, Stevens had, on its website, "Stevens & Hoboken Community Registration. At the time the facility is not open. This will be updated when an opening date is set."
The contract states, "During the dates and times published on stevensrec.com as amended from time-to-time and as administered or modified by the staff of Stevens’ Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation, Licensee shall have the right and license to allow its residents ('Users') to use DeBaun Aquatics Center, located in the Schaefer Athletic Center (the 'Facilities')."

Right now, residents can use the Olympic-size Pershing Park pool in Jersey City Heights, with its new retractable roof, for a small fee (find out more here). Also:
