11 Die, 1 Missing In Series Of NJ Memorial Day Weekend Tragedies
There was an endless series of tragedies involving shootings, crashes, a fatal fire, possible drownings and other events this weekend.

The Memorial Day weekend was a tragic one for a number of New Jersey residents as 11 people died and 1 person remained missing, with many more in mourning as the long weekend drew to a close.
With tens of thousands taking to the roads, the beaches and the hiking trails, 11 people died in a series crashes, possible drownings, a fire and other tragic events that happened since Friday.
In one instance, a man collapsed and died while hiking this weekend, just miles away from an intensive search that was underway for a missing man in the Delaware River, according to the National Park Service.

The 56-year-old man from Philadelphia had been hiking with family near I-80 when he collapsed on Saturday, according to the NPS. Despite efforts by bystanders and emergency personnel, Todd R. Boschetto died at the scene. Read more....

Police say they are investigating a fatal fire in New Brunswick this weekend that left two people dead.
The incident happened on Saturday at approximately 9:50 p.m., when the New Brunswick Fire Department and police responded to 289 Seaman St. to investigate reports of a structure fire, police said. Read more...
Fatal Motorcycle Crash In North Jersey During Tragic NJ Week
An unidentified man suffered life-threatening injuries when his motorcycle went off Route 23 in Montague on Monday afternoon, police said. His motorcycle struck a sign, police said.
The crash was reported at approximately 3 p.m. The driver was initially flown to Morristown Medical Center. He subsequently died of those injuries, police said. Read more..
Victim ID'd In Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision That Closed Route 31
Details were revealed in fatal crash involving a box truck colliding with a garbage truck that happened on Route 31 on Friday, police said.
The roadway remained closed and detoured in the area almost eight hours after the crash. The crash happened at 8 a.m. on Route 31 near Glen Manor Drive in Glen Gardner, police said.
Freddy Nieves, 33, was killed and another remained critical Monday, three days after the box truck and garbage truck crashed in Hunterdon County, authorities said. Read more here...
Man Shot, Killed While Riding Motorcycle in Orange: ECPO
A man was shot dead while riding a motorcycle early Monday in Orange, according to authorities.

Victim ID'd In Fatal I-80 Crash In Parsippany
More details were revealed and the victim was identified in a fatal Parsippany crash on I-80 this weekend.
Justin Nater, 38, of Rockaway was transported to Morristown Medical Center Sunday night where he was pronounced dead after an I-80 crash. Read more....
Woman Killed In Route 3 Crash: Prosecutor
A woman was killed in a car crash on Route 3 this weekend, according to authorities.
The crash happened at approximately 4:35 p.m. on Saturday when police responded to Route 3 westbound at the intersection of Route 21 in Clifton on a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash into a guardrail. Read more...

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's office has charged a borough man with first-degree murder in connection with the death of another Red Bank man, Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

An unidentified body was pulled from the Delaware River in South Jersey on Saturday, police said.

Man Shot Dead In Newark
A man was shot and killed in Newark on Saturday, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
Marselis Uwe G Wilson 30, of Newark was transported to University Hospital after suffering gunshot wounds around 10 p.m. He was pronounced soon after, according to the ECPO.
