Educational Workshop on Charitable Giving

Oasis
and Modera are partnering to hold an educational workshop on June 19th
at Edgewood Country Club from 6pm to 8pm.
The organizations have united to host an event to share their thoughts
with those interested in pursuing philanthropic endeavors.  Oasis Executive Director Sister Gloria Perez
will provide insights on how to evaluate charities when considering donating
and/or volunteering to local efforts.  Modera
principal and wealth manager Adam Leone will share perspectives on how to give
and its implications from a tax and estate planning perspective.

 ”Partnerships
with charities have come a long way from spare change in collection jars,” said
Sister Gloria Perez. “It is important to have a strategy in place to help make
sure philanthropic giving is effective and meaningful. Evaluating charities is
an important part of that strategy.”

“Carefully
planned charitable giving can provide individuals not only with a way to
support causes close to them during and after their lifetimes, but also with
the added benefit of affecting their current and future tax and estate plans,”
said Adam Leone.
