Kessler Rehabilitation Center to offer FREE Seminar on the Benefits of Pilates for Maintaining a Healthy Back

Kessler Rehabilitation Center, located at 27 Kinderkamack Road, Emerson

N.J. will provide a free seminar on Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. on Pilates and core stabilization, and the role these can play in maintaining a healthy back.

            Pilates can help to strengthen the core muscles, which are important to the overall support of the lower back. Strengthening the muscles can help to offset the stresses of     day-to-day activities in individuals with a healthy back or one that may be compromised due to injury.

            Kessler therapist Katherine Jankowski, PT, DPT, CKTP, will discuss Pilates and its benefits, along with guest speakers, Michele Bruce and Alessandro Balboni of the Pilates Stance in Emerson, N.J., who will demonstrate basic moves and exercises with the audience.
