Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Two Bergen County Senior Citizens

Both incidents occurred while Jonathan Malave was employed as a service technician for a cable television company.

A Morris County man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting two senior citizens.

Jonathan Malave, 31, of Towaco was arrested after the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Fairview Police Department learned he allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a 60-year-old female in her Ridgefield Park residence in July and a 71-year-old female in her Fairview residence in August, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said. Both incidents occurred while Malave was employed as a service technician for a cable television company.

The arrest came after the second victim reported the incident to the Fairview Police Department and met with detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Fairview Police Department to describe the incident in greater detail. “The ensuing investigation led to the identification of the first victim, who also was interviewed and described in specific detail what had occurred to her,” Molinelli said.
