New York Man Arrested, Charged After Alleged Inappropriate Sexual Activity with Girl
The man surrendered himself to Elmwood Park police after discovering a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

A New York man was arrested after authorities were informed he allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl, according to Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.
Jhony F. Garcia, 48, of Bay Shore, N.Y. was arrested and charged Monday with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest came after Garcia‘s alleged victim and her aunt went to the Elmwood Police Department on Sept. 5 to report Garcia had sexually assaulted her on several occasions.
Garcia, a married Realtor, surrendered himself to the Elmwood Park Police Department after learning a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Bail was set at $250,000 with no ten percent option, no contact with the victim and the surrender of his passport as a condition of bail. Garcia was subsequently remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.
