Join Peace4paws on May 31 from 12 to 3 pm for a benefit luncheon of fine food, music, prizes and more at Bibi'z Restaurant and Lounge, 284 Center Avenue, Westwood, NJ.
Bibi'z is known for its global American Cuisine, fine organic wines and fabulous martinis. The luncheon will offer a delicious four course meal with ingredients derived from local organic farms and sustainable fish markets. The menu includes appetizers of hummus, yogurt-mint dip and Spanish ratatouille and pita, followed by Bibi'z special salad, choice of entrée: grilled tilapia, chef's quiche, or penne arrabbiata and lots of scrumptious home-made desserts.
The musical portion of the afternoon will commence with piano music by composer/pianist Fred Messner of Woodcliff Lake, NJ. The meal will be accompanied with crowd-pleasing arias and duets performed by Jennifer Cece Bellon and Jim Cagle (from Westwood); internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Sara Henry, and New York City tenor Randy Pradera, with piano accompaniment by Chris Oldfather. All five performers appeared at last year's Puccini and Pasta fundraiser. Back by popular demand will also be the talented James Kelso of Glen Rock, NJ. A Julliard trained 8th grader, Kelso will play exciting and beautiful violin music (some of which he has also performed at Carnegie Weill Hall as the first place recipient of a New York City violin concerto competition.) Closing the show with the energy of youthful exuberance and a genuine joy of singing will be high school musical theater singers Sean O'Rourke and Sara Bayless of Westwood, NJ, as well as the smooth pop-rock vocals and guitar of Julianne Depardieu of Rivervale, NJ.
As always there will be plenty of raffle prizes, and a cash 50/50. The afternoon will also feature a greeting by renowned psychic Ray Sette, and two celebrity guest speakers (TBA). 50/50 raffle tickets can be purchased online in advance as well at Lewis Drugs, Watch Out Jewelers and Westwood Pets of Westwood, NJ. Buy your tickets on or before April 15th and save 10%!
