Police: Mahwah Man Crashes Car Into Westwood Utility Trench
Car was only inches away from hitting a gas line, authorities said.
A 67-year-old Mahwah man walked away with minor injuries after his car crashed into a utility trench Tuesday afternoon, only inches from a gas line, Cliffviewpilot.com reported.
“He’s out of the car and fine, except for a few lacerations,” Westwod Police Chief Frank Regino told the website.
The car did not hit any gas lines and a work crew wasn’t in the trench when the car rolled into it, Regino said.
