'Team Taveras' Seeks Yard Sale Donations to Benefit Bergen County Mom Battling Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer

Team Taveras, a group of Moms in River Edge who have banned together to help a fellow Mom in town, Katherine Taveras, in her fight against Stage 3 pancreatic cancer, is looking for donations for their upcoming Yard Sale that will benefit Katherine.

When Katherine and her family were dealt this devastating blow, after only finishing a battle with childhood leukemia for their son several years ago, the moms in River Edge knew they would need lots of help emotionally and financially. Over the past couple of months they have run some fundraisers for the family.

On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25, Team Taveras will hold a community yard sale on Lafayette Ave in River Edge, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Taveras Family.

In order for the yard sale successful, Team Taveras is seeking donations from the general public to sell at the garage sale.

Some ideas for donations include:

• Electronics (computers, video games/systems, handheld and consoles, iPods, phones with chargers)
• Bikes, Scooters
• Collectibles
• Furniture (indoor and outdoor)
• All types of clothing (including shoes, boots, handbags)
• Decorative, Household and Kitchen Items
• Sports Memorabilia and equipment
• Baby Items
• Little Tykes
• Jewelry
• New Cosmetics
• Holiday Items (decorations, Halloween costumes)
• Tools (including lawn and garden equipment)
• VHS, DVDs, Cds, Records
