Tractor Trailer Fire Snarls Morning Drive on Rt. 17 in Paramus
Vehicle hauling Bounty paper towels blazes on major roadway, report says.

It was a Bounty of a mess that took hours to clean up and, in the meantime, made thousands of commuters late for work on Monday morning.
According to northjersey.com, a tractor trailer hauling Bounty paper towels caught fire on Rt. 17 around 5 a.m. The roadway was closed between Century Road and Midland Avenue in Paramus, the report said.
The truck blaze led traffic backups on Rt. 4, Rt. 208 and the Garden State Parkway until two Rt. 17 lanes were reopened around 10:15 a.m. the report said. The fire began in the cab of the vehicle and spread to the trailer, the report said. No injuries were reported.
