Winning $5,000 Mega Millions Ticket Bought in Bergen County

Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director, announced that while there were no jackpot or second New Jersey prizewinners of the Mega Millions game, there was one $5,000 third prizewinning ticket that matched 4 white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the Tuesday, Sept. 16 drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Garden State News, 1620 Lemoine Ave. in Fort Lee, NJ.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Sept. 16 drawing were: 25, 45, 51, 53, 73. The Gold Mega Ball was 02, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

There were 16 players whose tickets matched the 4 white balls making each ticket worth $500. If those players had purchased tickets with the Megaplier Option, each ticket would have been worth $1,000. Moreover, 65,816 other New Jersey players took home $104,801 in prizes ranging from $1 to $100, according to Hedinger.

“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
