Police: Bridgehampton Man Kills Wife, Then Self in Mastic Beach Home
The wife was identified as an employee of Southampton Hospital.

A Bridgehampton man killed his wife, a Southampton Hospital employee, before taking his own life in their home in Mastic Beach on Thursday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
Seventh Precinct Patrol officers responded to a 911 call at 203 Woodside Drive, after one of the couple’s children was locked out of the home and asked an adult for help, according to Suffolk County Police.
The adult saw a man, Wayne Street, 29, lying on the ground and called 911 at 4:40 p.m., police said.

Officers found Street dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his wife Jenni Lee Street, 28, wasalso dead from a gunshot wound, according to police.
Their six children were transported to a local hospital where Child Protective Services interviewed them, according to police.

They were not injured, police said.
Marsha Kenny, Southampton Hospital Director of Marketing and Public Affairs, confirmed that Jenni was an employee of the hospital, according to 27east.
“It is very sad,” Kenny told 27east. “Our hearts go out to her and her family.”
