Police: Fugitive Wanted for Having Sexual Contact With Child Arrested in Glen Cove
The man fled to Glen Cove from New Jersey and was arrested Monday, police say.
A New Jersey fugitive wanted for aggravated sexual assault involving a child was arrested by authorities in Glen Cove on Monday, Glen Cove Police said.
Santiago Gonzalez-Ruiz, 57, recently fled to Glen Cove from New Jersey and was in the area for less than two weeks before he was arrested, police said.
Gonzalez-Ruiz was wanted for having sexual contact with a 7-year-old child, police said.

Gonzalez-Ruiz was arrested in a side yard at 41 Prospect Ave. by Glen Cove Det. Lt. John Nagle and Det. Karl Van Allen.
The New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force contacted the Glen Cove Police Department on Friday, April 10 and asked for assistance in locating Gonzalez-Ruiz.
