Serial Knife-Wielding Robber Connected To Latest Subway Robbery
The robbery has been linked to the robbery pattern occurring across Long Island.
Police have confirmed the robbery at the Subway store in Westbury on Saturday night was committed by the serial knife-wielding robber who has been targeting businesses in Nassau and Suffolk counties since February.
According to authorities, a man armed with a knife entered Subway, located at 890 Old Country Road, approached the 23-year-old employee and demanded money from the register at 8:20 p.m. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen fleeing on foot on Bowling Green Drive.
There were two employees and no customers inside the store at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported, police say.

Police described the robber as 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a dark-knit hat with a brim, a dark jacket, blue jeans, a dark scarf covering his face and gloves.
Police have also connected the serial knife-wielding robber to two robberies in Suffolk County as well as five robberies and one attempted robbery in Nassau County:

Suffolk County Police announced Friday they will be offering a $5,000 reward for any information on the serial robber.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this recent robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
