Police are searching for a man who robbed a Bethpage gas station Sunday morning.
According to police, the man entered the Hess gas station at 4165 Hempstead Turnpike and threatened a 61-year-old employee with a knife and demanded money at 5:35 a.m.

The employee opened the cash register and the robber took an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
The robber then fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said. There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man, who was wearing a red and blue jacket and dark colored jeans at the time of the robbery.
